Homegrown Series: London Exhibition at Hiru Cafe, Lumut Pangkor Ferry Jetty,
August – September 2024
A wholesome showcase celebrating Malaysia’s Independence Month and Visit Perak Year 2024 at the Maritime District of Seri Manjung, in collaboration with local businesses Hiru Cafe and printer Pearl Design Centre. A selection of flower photography photographed in London, UK displayed on the beautiful gray wall of Hiru Cafe, a venue facing the Strait of Malacca and Pangkor Island.
After The Rain Book Reading at The Malaysian Photobook Exhibition, September 2022
After The Rain‘s author and photographer, Zarina Holmes, presented a live book reading session from London, UK to the participants at Zontiga photobook store in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia and an online audience. The event was organised by Zontiga and the Photobook Club Kuala Lumpur. It took place via online live streaming on 3rd September, 2022 during the photobook exhibition.
The Malaysian Photobook Exhibition & Archive, Aug-September 2022
After The Rain: Number 1 and 2 are now part of the Malaysian Photobook Archive (MPA), an initiative by the Photobook Club Kuala Lumpur and Zontiga following the Malaysian Photobook Exhibition 2022. The Malaysian Photobook Archive began in early 2022, where the titles in this living document were compiled through photobook submissions to the MPA for documentation purposes.
After The Rain: From Photographic Meditation to Sustainability Action, March 2022
Exposure+ Photo 2022 talk series, following an exhibition under the theme “Belong” London-based photographer Zarina Holmes transformed her photography meditation project, After The Rain, into a sustainability initiative at GLUE Studio. The talk highlighted how she constructed the narrative via a self-published magazine. Venue: KLOé Hotel Yoga Room, Kuala Lumpur., Malaysia.

River to River, Coast to Coast, June 2019
Exhibiting photographer at the HF ArtsFest, held at Re:Centre, Thames Wharf, London W6. Supported by The Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham. Presenting photography project, After the Rain and its first photo magazine. A meditation on nature inspired by her seaside home, Pangkor island and the surrounding seafront. Collaborations with Devonshire-based photographer-publisher Mark King of The Point, and Re:Centre Artists in Residence. Featuring artists Kate Lowe and Natalie Cronin. The project inspired international awareness of ocean plastics and recycling waste issues in UK and Malaysia.

Curated and organised the first student photography exhibition held at The VIBE Gallery, Shoreditch, London E1 for City Academy UK. Participated by photography students from UK and Europe.

Sojournposse “One Thousand and One Nights” curated by the Situation Modern, Dec 2009
Exhibiting photographer at the event held at Clapham North, London SW9. Presented a portraiture series on feminism and the female body, inspired by the famous book “The Tale of One Thousand and One Nights” that originated from ancient Persia. Twelve Sojournposse artists from London, Spain and Colombo took part.
