What is Mindful Photography?
Mindful photography is an exercise that invites a photographer to focus on the present moment, slow down and pay attention to the details of the environment. It can help the participants develop a deeper connection with nature, practice mindfulness and meditation through photography. It also allows them to express their creativity and artistic visions while capturing the beauty of the natural world.

Still Life Photography with Seasonal Flowers & Upcycled Containers
Exploring the power of objects, through the spontaneous compositions of seasonal flowers and discarded containers such as jars and bottles. The focus on the concept of destruction, creation and longevity, inspired by Eastern art philosophy.
Aim: This workshop is an exploration on mindfulness, appreciating nature and contemplation on sustainability. The aim isn’t to achieve slick results, but instead celebrating the imperfections, impermanence and appreciating the beauty in natural decay.

Mindful Photography through Observing Nature
Nature has a healing power. Photography is an effective tool to observe, enjoy the outdoors and seeing subtle seasonal changes in the environment. This class encourages you to develop a relationship with nature through patience and long-term observation.
Aim: Practice mindfulness by paying attention to your surroundings and notice the details of the environment. Focus on the present moment and try to be fully present while exploring the natural setting.
Testimonial
“Our teacher Zarina was knowledgeable and passionate about the subjects, and provided us with valuable tips and techniques for capturing stunning images that we can use in everyday photography. The workshop was intimate, well-organized and included both classroom instruction and hands-on practice in a stunning garden setting. I learned so much about composition, lighting, and how to use my camera to its fullest potential. I highly recommend this workshop to anyone interested in improving their flower photography skills.” – Ayaisha, workshop participant.
